Digital Fun with Digital Photographs


Back in March, some friends, and my wife, and I visited a winery on the Silverado Trail in Napa Valley. The wild mustard was still in bloom, so I took this photograph looking north through some olive trees.



I do all my photo editing with a Corel program named Paint Shop Photo Pro (the poor man's photo shop). A few modifications on the picture above were made with this program including resizing for use on my blog. Corel also has a program called Painter Photo Essentials which allows you to move beyond normal photographic adjustments. So, just for fun, I took this same photograph,and applied various fine art painting techniques as overlays. Here's the results:











Oh, and by the way, the winery we were visiting is Darioush, and the building architecture is based on an ancient Persian palace. Fits in well with digital oil paintings! See photograph at the bottom of this posting.
