Point Reyes National Seashore

I moved from coast to coast for my next park assignment -- Point Reyes National Seashore. I spent my high school years (1952 to 1955) living in Marin County and visited the future seashore quite often. In fact, a group of my friends and I actually hunted rabbits with the permission of one of the ranch owners. The National Seashore was established in 1962 by a congressional bill signed by President John F. Kennedy.

I'll start with some "general" photographs which show the diversity of the area.

Ahhh, California coast, there's a reason it costs so much to live there - you get what you pay for!

Hello Tom. I am not sure you will remember this, but: back in 1977 you either sold or gave 2 pictures to the Point Reyes National Seashore for a retirement gift for my father, Buck Gent, heavy equipment operator. I am thinking her tired either that year or 1978. He had transferred to Point Reyes from The Olympic National Park in Washington. I just wanted you to know how much these 2 pictures, one of sand dollars the other of starfish on the rocks in a tide pool, have brought me, one of his daughters, Kathy. I looked at your pictures on your blog and I see you are still making art with your camera and good eye. My email is atagoo@att.net if you would like to see the pictures I would be happy to share them with you.
I just put them in new frames and saw your name on the back, so I thought I would reach out. Happy Holidays to you. Kathy Gent-Meyer
